TERROIR
The name of this site probably comes from a bowling alley that was located here on the edge of the forest. The morning sun warms the sandy-loamy soil. The wooded hilltop to the west protects the vineyards and creates a temperate climate. Here grow delicate wines with herbal spice and of mineral density.

SENSORIC
Fresh apple and star fruit on the nose. Filigree elegance and slightly reductive components create tension on the palate. The cool structure and dried herbs convey the unmistakable typicity of the Kugelspiel. VINIFICATION Spontaneous fermentation. Aged for one year on the lees in Castell oak barrels. 

ORIGIN 
Franconia, monopollage Casteller Kugelspiel. Cool and protected by the forest site. The age of the vines is 55 years. 

ENJOY TO
Due to its fresh, lively acidity, we recommend our KUGELSPIEL Silvaner with a slightly heartier, richer meal, which intercepts its freshness and thus the dish gains lightness. Such as: Thyme risotto with roasted porcini mushrooms, apple slices poached in spice broth and thyme oil.
